writing and such

So, this semester I'm taking creative writing, and I love it! We have this crazy teacher, who I had freshman year. I remember LOVING him freshman year; he would give us all these random writing assignments, I don't know how to describe him...like he would show us a picture of a monster and then tell us to write a rap about the monster..it was crazy! But anyways, creative writing is awesome! I'm loving it!

So, a couple classes ago, he had this exercise all set up for us. We had like two minutes to write 5 scenes and make up a horror story... this is what I ended up with:
A creek echoed throughout the darkness. A shadow shifted in the darkness of the alley. Shallow breathing was heard, and it sounded like it was coming from the dumpster.

Little Susan and Billy had walked out of the movie theater. Billy stared down at her hand, wondering if he should grab it. It was only their first date.
"Should we go to the car?" she inquired, she didn't even look at him, her nose was to the sky.
"I thought we would take a stroll," he nervously suggested. "We didn't get a chance to talk the entire movie.."
"Not very long," she snapped. "Mother wants me home at a decent time. Which means in an twenty minutes!" She looked at her watch for confirmation.
"Okay," BIlly agreed.

Out from the dumpster crawled the being. It looked human, yet had slimy, grimy skin. It's teeth were yellow razors, chewing crushed cans and banana peels. It made it's way to a second dumpster, on the opposite side of the alley. It was ready to eat more. It was always hungry. Flesh was rarely found in the alley, all it could eat was trash. It couldn't leave the alley either, because then he always seemed to get shot at.

Billy walked down the sidewalk on the square, and Susan reluctantly followed.
"So, what do you do for fun?" Billy tried a smile.
"I have a very strict schedule, and I find it very enjoyable." she stated without enthusiasm. Billy turned down the alley, to take a shorter walk than he had initially planned. He had decided that hot Susan was not attractive at all in personality. He was sick of making conversation with someone a date more unpleasant than a date who wouldn't talk at all.
She gazed down the alley, he was staring down. "Lets not walk that way.." she showed emotion on her face for the first time that night. "It's dark."
"It's the way to the car," Billy remarked back, perhaps harsher than he would have had she been a good date. "Why?" he teased. "You scared?"
"No!" she exclaimed and quickly started on ahead of him down the alley.

Suddenly, Billy heard a terrible grating noise coming from the dumpster up ahead, to the left of Susan. She stopped and looked behind her, back at Billy. Her beautiful blue eyes were wide with fear. Without breaking eye contact, Billy began to run up ahead to meet with her. He joined his left hand with her right, and he began to pull her to the end of the alley. Faster and faster they walked, and the end of the alley didn't seem to be looking any closer. They jumped sky high when they heard a loud growl behind them. Their gaze drifted to meet the sound. It seemed to have come from the dumpster. They also looked at where they had come from, the beginning of the alley, it didn't seem to look any further away. They turned and ran at the parking lot, just beyond the alley. A loud boom sounded, and they both turned on a dime to see the lid of the dumpster hitting the brick behind it and a dark, slimy figure jumping out onto the alley. Susan shrieked and let go of Billy's hand. The monster bounded toward them and reached out for Susan. Billy stared in awe.
The creature looked at Billy sympathetically and said, "Sorry man, girl meat tastes better." He grabbed Susan in her entirety and ran back to the dumpster. The lid shut and Billy heard what he figured was the devouring of human flesh.

He returned to his car, and never saw Susan again.
Haha, yeah, I ended up liking it. What do you think?
